Portrait Process for Children & Adults
Lisa works both from life and from photographs, either in her studio or on location. At the initial meeting, Lisa will discuss medium,
setting, composition and clothing. She will then photograph her subject in various poses, outfits- if the client so desires and lighting, using a digital camera. Returning to her studio, she then
selects the best suited photos for the portrait and will provide the client with the photos on CD. After the composition photo is
chosen, Lisa will then begin the portrait depending upon her workload at the time. If needed, Lisa can provide the client with
a charcoal sketch or color study to help visualize the final painting.
When the portrait is close to completion, Lisa may request the client visit her studio for final adjustments or a final sitting. This may also take place on location.
All
fees are based upon subjects with appropriate backgrounds. Framing, travel
expenses, Fulton County taxes and crating/shipping costs are additional. One third of the portrait
fee is due when the photographs are taken, with the balance due upon satisfactory
delivery of the portrait. Lisa's ultimate goal is for her client to be completely satisfied with the final portrait and will work to her best ability to accomplish that goal.
Framing assistance is also available if the client so desires.
Lisa has worked with many clients both in the metro Atlanta area and across the country. Clients do not have to be located in Atlanta to retain her services.
Portrait Process
for Pets
Lisa prefers to do her own photographay rather than work from family photos.
This allows her to photograph the animal in the proper lighting and pose as well as helps familiarize herself with the pet. However, Lisa has created numerous posthumous portraits of family pets and can work from family photos, especially with clients outside of the Atlanta area.
While
at the client's home, she will take photos with a digital camera to insure
a good working photograph. Returning to her studio, she then
selects the best suited photos for the portrait and will provide the client with the photos on CD. After the composition photo is
chosen, Lisa will then begin the portrait depending upon her workload at the time. A minimum deposit of $200 is due at the time of the photo
shoot.
Lisa will then return to her studio to begin the portrait. The painting
process usually takes a week to several months, depending on the size,
medium and the complexity of the portrait and Lisa's work load at
the time. When the painting is complete, Lisa will also assist
in framing the portrait if the client so desires.
